Frank: I suppose if I want to travel (= fly) by plane I should start with air tickets.
Cashier: What kind of tickets would you like to buy? One way ticket or a round-trip ticket?
Frank: Do I need a return ticket to get back home?
Cashier: Sure!
Frank: I know that there are courier fares. Can one expect a discount then? And, if possible, another question: do airlines often resort to this kind of practice?
Cashier: You know the class of service is always important.
Frank: Is it possible to pay less by getting promotional fares?
Cashier: Certainly, sir.
Frank: I suppose discounted fares are not offered every day. Okay, I get my tickets. Should I reconfirm them later?
Cashier: Without the slightest doubt. Read the information in the ticket, please.
Frank: Is it easy to buy an RTW (= round the world) ticket?
Cashier: Certainly, you can do that.
Frank: I guess in any high season you pay a high season fare.
Cashier: That's true.
Frank: Now a special question, if you don't mind. Can I transfer (= give) my ticket to another person? And what happens, if I don't show up (= change my mind and shall not go)?
Cashier: All this is described in regulations. It will be your responsibility: But the general situation is of this type: if you don't show up, you become a no-show passenger. And that means that somebody else, naturally, can get your seat.
Frank: And what if I lose my ticket?
Cashier: You'd better not. Be serious. But if it happens, call the administration of the airline. And tell them your story. Usually, do you fly by business class or by economy class?
Frank: Economy class is not so expensive. So I prefer an economy class. And some more questions: Where can I see the departure time? And the time of arrival? And the last two questions: Have you got any information on frequent flyer mileage policy? And where are the boarding gates?
Cashier: It'll take me an hour, sir, to answer all your questions.
2. — I want to go to Kharkov as quickly as possible.What would you suggest as the quickest means? — The plane, of course, it's only six flying hours to Kharkov. There is a non-stop service without any intermediate landings.

— By all means. The stewardess will serve you beer, lemonade, tea and sandwiches.
— Are the seats comfortable enough?
— All along you will be reclining in a most comfortable armchair. It is even so arranged that you can have some sleep on board.
— Well, then I think I'll book my ticket to go there by plane.
— And perfectly right you are in so deciding. I wish you good luck.

— There are in all four trains from Kyiv to Simferoipol daily.
— Which of them is the quickest?

— When does it leave Kyiv?
